In fact, I ordered one more today identical to the first one. I hope it will work as well on my 2023 MacBook Pro M3 Silicon as my first one does. Using them for my Apple Time Machine 3 Gig of backups.

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased a Galaxy Book 2 360 2-1 that came with a 512GB NVME and wanted 2TB so this little GEM coupled with a Samsung 970 EVO PLUS PCIe Gen 3 x 4 NVMe did the trick. I used Windows "Create system image" in W11 which cloned the entire. Installed new 2TB and booted without hesitation and identified newly installed 2TB NVMe. Additionally happy that Sammy made this laptop with an upgradeable NVMe.

Only comptible with NVMe???

This should be labelled clearly on the outside of the box. I assumed any M2 drive would be NVMe compatible but this is clearly not. Purchased to use with Skhynix SSD but would not recognize. Whatever latch that comes in the enclosure is useless as well could not attach with the SSD enclosed. I previously used the same drive with "SSK Aluminum M.2 NVME SATA SSD Enclosure Adapter, USB 3.2" no issue.

It gets incredibly hot if using to transfer TB's of data and will crash. I had to set it on top of a fan to keep cool when doing tb's of data transfers.

Good SSD external shell.

It works well, I'm just not a fan of the plastic locking nut. Otherwise, this is a quality product and as soon as I get another SSD I will put this back in use.
