Issue was that it used the insignia protocol and didnt allow for much control over the data. Great option if you want to use an m.2 as an external drive.

Wanted to upgrade from 64G. But the socket for this is not mounted in only the model I got. I bought this enclosure to use the NVMe with the laptop, and it works very good.

Make sure you get the thermal pads

Likely got returned after being opened, and since there is no security seal on most Insignia products, wasn't known by employees. It is able to sustain 10Gb/s without overheating. Preferable to have 40Gb/s option available, but it works great as rated.

The tooless lock is not good for large hands, or nails, or weak fingers, or applying leverage to, but has worked well for me so far. Note that this doesn't support M.2 SATA, even if keyed correctly

I had to upgrade from 1tb to 2tb and used this to clone my system’s ssd. Works fine. I am not sure why they provided a plastic fastener though. Could have been metal cause if you do not use it right, you can damage the mechanism. Good product overall.

The clip is plastic and broke trying to insert it into the mounting hole. Needs to be designed with a metal retaining screw. The rest of the design is nice.

Bigger than your normal thumb drive … unless you held the nail and you kid had the hammer, then it might the ‘size of your thumb’ drive.

Also the speed that accept is good Just I think it’s a little bit expensive.
