Poor venting, and cooling. So it gets pretty warm. And dispite the large aluminum body, theres no way to use it as a passive heat sink. Mounting the drive in the case is quite fiddly. But it does do it job.

It works as advertised but please note that if your m.2 has a heat sync, it’s not going to fit in the case. You can still plug it into the usb end and use it, but you won’t be able to slide the case around it.

The standard m.2 drives I had at home didnt fit, but making little slices on the securing leg they fit. The adapter works as expected, usb 3 speeds, it gets hot, so use the thermal tape provided. Good buy

[Employee of bestbuy] The shroud is metallic and has a high quality latch mechanism onto the NVMe mount. A thermal pad is included if you would like to use the metal shroud to help passively cool the drive. There is a USB C cable included as well as a C to A adapter.

It worked for what I needed it for. Got hot to the touch during use, and getting the plastic screw to work wasn’t ideal, but the drive came out clean and worked like a charm, so I can’t say it didn’t work.

Very easy to use, Works quite efficiently, highly recommend.

I tried other known brands and this has been the best performance above the rest in my opinion.

I used this to swap out a M.2 2GB card in the ASUS ROG Ally, cloned the old drive onto it first. Now using this as an extra storage drive with the old 512GB card inserted. Easy to use, handles multiple card sizes easily.

Worked as expected except for the plastic clip to hold down the SSD card. However, the heat shield held the SSD down. Easy and efficient tool. Would have given 5 stars if the clip would have fit better when the SSD is inserted.

Worked really well! Had to clone two M.2 drives and it provided a simple and effective solution! comes with a thermal heat pad, which is neacessary for SSDs.

I used this to transfer an old hard drive to an SSD, then back into a different SSD. The SSD slides right into place and appears on the desktop like any other drive. It comes in handy.

The enclosure works so that's a plus, but the latching mechanism would not fit with my standard M2 HD. Lucky that the thermal tape was thick enough to compress the M2 into position. I wouldn't travel with it this way but is ok for stay at home duties and careful handling. I needed one fast and it was the only one in stock. It would have been better with a screw to hold it down vice the latch as you have to pull it out and then insert the M2 and then plug in the latch and twist it into position. The latch would not go in because the pcb of the M2 partially covered the hole. Samsung 970 EVO was the M2

This product allowed my to help a customer out. They had an NVMe drive and I didn't have a way to access it. I only had to run to Best Buy and buy it! Very easy to use, fast setup, fact connection time and fast R/W! I was very thankful to find it!

This product played a vital part in me in recovering my hard drive.

Worked flawlessly to clone a smaller, older M.2. No issues, super simple, and now it works as an external drive. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, and it was a great deal.

If you have an m.2 with a heatsink installed, (Like that out of a Surface Pro) It might not fit. The plastic nub/screw secures memory cards well in place. Honestly just a poor design overall. Otherwise, it'll do what you need.
