This helps me back up my files into anothed m.2 ssd. I also use this as cloning device. You just need to use a software that can clone and it will easily detect this device with your m.2 inside it.

Saved the day as we had a computer get zapped when our power went out...able to recover all work.

The enclosure works so that's a plus, but the latching mechanism would not fit with my standard M2 HD. Lucky that the thermal tape was thick enough to compress the M2 into position. I wouldn't travel with it this way but is ok for stay at home duties and careful handling. I needed one fast and it was the only one in stock. It would have been better with a screw to hold it down vice the latch as you have to pull it out and then insert the M2 and then plug in the latch and twist it into position. The latch would not go in because the pcb of the M2 partially covered the hole. Samsung 970 EVO was the M2

This product allowed my to help a customer out. They had an NVMe drive and I didn't have a way to access it. I only had to run to Best Buy and buy it! Very easy to use, fast setup, fact connection time and fast R/W! I was very thankful to find it!

My computer’s motherboard broke and I needed to retrieve my files fast! I simply put my hard drive into the slot and easily was able to extract the files.

Worked as expected except for the plastic clip to hold down the SSD card. However, the heat shield held the SSD down. Easy and efficient tool. Would have given 5 stars if the clip would have fit better when the SSD is inserted.

The transfer speeds for the NVMe drive I used with this casing were amazing. No data loss was received and the 53gb of data transferred in minutes.

I use these for Time Machine and some other personal drives. They're easy, they work, my only thing is they aren't clear on how to apply the thermal pad, but I figured it out.

I use it with my steam deck as an external storage for my windows partition and works great and when my brother in law has an internal ssd upgrade i used it to transfer its data to the new ssd

Nice unit and reasonably priced. The only issue I had was getting the hold-down clip to work, but the enclosure still functions just fine using the foam filler to hold the SSD in place.

When I upgraded my C Drive. I had an extra nvme. So I bought this. After I wiped the drive, and now I use it as an external drive for storage and games kind of expensive, but it does its job well.

Works well, feels solid and speed is good enough for my Gen4 drives.

The shroud is metallic and has a high quality latch mechanism onto the NVMe mount. A thermal pad is included if you would like to use the metal shroud to help passively cool the drive. There is a USB C cable included as well as a C to A adapter.

Great NVME storage option to see what is on past drives without having to have a computer to tear down just to rip the drive open. Also great to make your own hot swappable drive.
