Good product and it does it supposed to do!

I also use this as cloning device. You just need to use a software that can clone and it will easily detect this device with your m.2 inside it.

Does it's job

It was easy to install the SSD and it ran great for cloning from my old laptop SSD to my new one. It did get a little hot but that's to be expected from NVME.

Nice enclosure and reasonably priced

The only issue I had was getting the hold-down clip to work, but the enclosure still functions just fine using the foam filler to hold the SSD in place.

My gripe, too, is that the internal locking part is poor in quality. I never got the locking mechanism to secure my drive in the housing. For short-term use, the thermal pad kept the nvme drive in place. For longer-term use, i'm not sure if the drive will shift.

After I wiped the drive, and now I use it as an external drive for storage and games kind of expensive, but it does its job well.

They're easy, they work, my only thing is they aren't clear on how to apply the thermal pad, but I figured it out.

Almost Perfect

My only gripe is the housing should have been larger. SSD's like the Samsung 980 Evo with a built-on heat sync won't fit.

Likely got returned after being opened, and since there is no security seal on most Insignia products, wasn't known by employees. It is able to sustain 10Gb/s without overheating. Preferable to have 40Gb/s option available, but it works great as rated.
