    It works fine - only minor annoyance is that the post to keep the SSD down is a little cheap and on certain drives, the thermal pad may be tall enough that closing the outer case shears a tiny bit off. Easy to clean and ensures a good fit, but just take note.

    This adapter is so convenient. Swapping between drives is very easy but i’ll probably just buy a few more for my other drives since it’s so inexpensive.

    My other finally died, bought this over the counter to replace it quickly. Used daily as usb boot drive for imaging, cloning, and file transfers. Decent throughput, generally 8-900MB/s depending on the drive in the slot and usb c connection. No issues with hynix, wd, inland pcie gen3 and 4 drives so far, works better than the one it replaced. Perfect enclosure if you need to swap drives often but be careful to pry the retaining tab outward a bit when slotting a drive, its pretty snug and the ssd pcb will flex if you just press it in.
