Thank you best buy for helping me enact revenge on asurion.

It is NOT compatible. The pins don't line up and the drive heats up very fast. Wish they would clarify this. Now I need to find an nvme sata reader instead of this nvme m.2

I wasn't especially worried about corruption/loss of data, but it may be a concern for others in the future.

Ya right, even with a tool it’s impossible to secure your ssd card to the enclosure because no screw fits it. Its supposed to come with a fastner for your ssd which holds it down so it isnt damaged while its in the enclosure. There was no “fastener”. Support kept denying that a fastner is not included but on the manual it is on there. I was looking for something simple and easy to use but I got something that I can use because it might damage a $120 SSD. What a waste of money

The outside casing is easy to remove but provides great protection. CONS: The device can get very hot and requires the use of included thermal tape if you're going yo permanently install the drive in the housing.

My only complaint is the tools free connector. Wish they had used a little better plastic, but that will only matter if you swap the drive out every so often like i do.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It is a ssd enclosure and it works but the problem with it is there is no software that comes with it so you have to buy something and the other issues are when I enter a wd 850x into the enclosure to clone it I can’t use the wd software that’s free with the wd ssd because the enclosure tells the cpu that the wd ssd is a Best Buy device instead of a wd ssd don’t waste your money get your a external ssd with free software included I spent 6 hours trying to clone using the enclosure and it failed so I bought a scandisk external ssd and it has free software and it cloned my system in 15min
