I was cloning my laptop's SSD so i needed to connect the new SSD to my laptop via a usb connection. This worked perfectly. It opens and closes with a simple button and the SSD is held in place with a simple hand turned fastener. Not tools required.

Took having Geek squad de-crypt some folders from broken laptop but overall this device has worked great for it's purpose.

Perfect device for backing up valuable files. Must have for anything needed for backup.

Works as designed only suggestion would to increase the heat shielding it will get hot after use

Works as advertised. The plastic twist lock clip to hold the board in position is difficult to use. Sometimes it stick making hard to remove the board.

Very simple device to recover data off your memory chip found in newer computers. Just insert chip and plug into usb port on another computer to backup or recover files from the storage unit.

These things work great if u have a spare Nvme drive and don't know what to do with it this is ur best bet comes with everything you need

It seems to work properly. IDK if I am getting the best speed but at least I am able to use my ssd.

Works well with Crucial P310 M.2 NVMe SSD but plastic near screw is weak & it broke soon

Overall it does what it needs to. It’s not as fast I I need. It was also missing the retaining clip. I managed to find something to make work with what I already had available. Wasn’t worth replacing for such a small inconvenience.

Needed a nvme enclosure in a pinch and this worked well. Not sure the quality was worth the price but it works.

The furst tilme thlat i used thr enclosure, the plastic piece that holds the hard drive down and prevents it from being flopping and all over the place broke off. Now, if i want to use it, drive isnott secured and actually has to rest against the top of he enclosure. That willl damage the drive or the encloure or both. Not worth it pay 0a few bucks more and get a quality part.

This is a good external case for the newer digital storage. I have two now and I am very happy with them.

If you buy this from Best Buy, test it with all your SSD drives right away. I assumed, like most retailers, I had 30 days to return it. Two weeks in, I finally connected my SSD and discovered it was SATA, which this enclosure does not support (it only works with NVMe). There are enclosures that handle both NVMe and SATA, but this isn’t one of them. The bigger issue for me: Best Buy only allows returns for 14–15 days unless you pay extra for their “Plus” program to extend the return window. I didn’t know this going in, and it feels like a gotcha policy. Because of that, I’ll be avoiding Best Buy in the future.

I got this for work and so far it hasn't failed me. I also like the metal exterior as I've dropped it a couple of times without a scratch.

This works like a charm for recovering data and cloning drives. Sturdy build and good heatsink pads for if you want to have a longterm storage drive in it as well.

The holder for the key is really small and fragile and I couldn't get the key to hold the NVME before it sheared off. Thankfully Best Buy took the return and refunded the cost.

Don't ever ask the store to transfer your files from your old laptop to a new one. I just took the drive from one, put it in this adapter and plugged it into the new one and copied everything I needed myself.
