Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It is a ssd enclosure and it works but the problem with it is there is no software that comes with it so you have to buy something and the other issues are when I enter a wd 850x into the enclosure to clone it I can’t use the wd software that’s free with the wd ssd because the enclosure tells the cpu that the wd ssd is a Best Buy device instead of a wd ssd don’t waste your money get your a external ssd with free software included I spent 6 hours trying to clone using the enclosure and it failed so I bought a scandisk external ssd and it has free software and it cloned my system in 15min

Though the box says that is is USB 3.2 Gen 2 compatible, the only thing USB 3 is the connector. On Windows and Linux it connects as USB 2.1. I tried multiple USBC-USB3A adapters on my windows PC, and direct USBC connection on my linux PC. The only good thing about this is because the access speed is slow, you do not have to worry about overheating your nvme drive, otherwise steer clear of this product if you expect 3.0+ speeds

It is NOT compatible. The pins don't line up and the drive heats up very fast. Wish they would clarify this. Now I need to find an nvme sata reader instead of this nvme m.2

Terrible lock design

I bought it to clone a new SSD drive, and the first attempt to lock it in, the mechanism broke with no pressure on it. I ended up putting something heavy on the new SSD to keep it down while I cloned and was successful. I can’t use it for a plug in external though with the lock broken. The product worked, but I would not recommend.

It worked flawlessly with nvme pcie 3 and pcie 4 ssd m2 card. The data rate was good. I was able to do backup of 480 gb with in 30 mins. It has thermal tape which you can put on the top of ssd. It has air vents to keep operation cool. Overall, I liked this product and it's price.

It will fit multiples sizes inside which is awesome but there are some plastic parts in there that broken which makes it cheap but hey for the price whatever.

You can’t just twist it out of the way, you need to remove it entirely and putting it back in is a bit difficult as the piece itself and the hole are TINY.
