I was trying to find a cheap useful tool to transfer data and this device was perfect. I got to transfer files quickly and can also use it as a external hard drive.

Even though it feels a little cheap for the price it did get the job done under the short amout of time did heat up quickly

I was expecting this to be made out of plastic for the price, but it is made of stainless steel or aluminum! Great value for money and would recommend to anybody who needs to recover a drive.

This little device saved our laptop which stopped working after a failed battery repair. We were able to take out the SSD drive from the laptop, and retrieve the saved data, without booting up the laptop.

Got an old laptop or desktop that died? Take the drive and put it in here. Less ewaste and now you have a new external SSD and you can get uour files back, assuming your SSD wasn't the bit that died.

It's very well made. I put in an NVMe SSD I removed from a ThinkPad, plugged it in, and it just worked! The USB-C to USB-A adapter made it easy to connected to my old computer.

Great enclosure for cloning or general use. Like the fastening mechanism better than cheaper enclosures I’ve bought (and returned) from Amazon. It’s a plastic tab that locks the NVME not a screw. Kept this one for future use.

I use this device to house an off-brand 500 GB NVMe drive I had laying around. It works as advertised. As others have mentioned, the NVMe drive hold down is plastic, so take your time and be careful with it.

Really good enclousure, super easy to get the tray in and out, a little difficult to actually get the drive in, there's some weird like lever lock or something that we had to figure out but its great.

I purchased this to recover data from the hard drive from my old Lenovo that had serious USB C power problems. Seems to work just fine.

Works great as external storage! got mine to use with the rog ally when i upgraded the internal storage and used the allys old storage in this as a backup.

I used this to clone (using Acronis) a failing NVMe Windows 10 system drive to a new (Samsung) NVMe. Been running PC with new drive for a few weeks now without any issues, so it appears to have worked fine for me.

Works well. Normally Best Buy brands offer a better value, but I feel like this is a bit overpriced.

I must have for setting up these new type drives that come in some of these new Laptops. Defiantly must have if swapping out an old drive.

It's ok, however it warms when you use it continuously for 30 minutes or more!

I needed to copy my existing M.2 NVME drive in my laptop so that i could replace it with a larger drive and this enclosure worked great. Used it hold a 1TB Samsung 980Pro.

It was getting hot and also, I could not make it to read my NVME card. Not sure if card was bad or the reader. Drive latter showed unknown. Unable to do much with it.

Perfect for cloning over your existing M.2 drives for when you want to upgrade to higher capacity units. Then you have a portable drive in a housing to be used for whatever else you need!

This item works okay but the inner fastener should be a screw rather than a poorly designed plastic insert. I understand that they are trying to save money and work for different lengths of boards but this fastener is crap.
