Unfortunately when I opened the manual it mentioned there that you have to format the ssd first . So for me I didn't Benfit from this device

However I have no way to secure the drive in the enclosure itself without using additional hardware or adhesive. Hopefully i didn't damage the drive when I attempted to gently go without... that will be on me if I did. I'm giving it the single star because the primary reason I purchased it to begin with mase it irrelevant. Being a tooless enclosure.
