    Such a hassle

    The little plastic prong used to hold the hard drive in place never held properly for me and eventually stripped out before the first use. It takes about twenty attempts of fiddling with the thing to try to get it to hold in the perfect spot to be able to read anything. I would highly suggest avoiding this and using any other adapter which uses a proper screw instead of cheap plastic.

    Good quality but didn't work with Crucial P3 Plus

    Good build quality, truly no tool design, comes with dissipating ssd drive cover, and usb c cable with usb c to a adapter. But, and it's a big but, it did not work with the Crucial P3 Plus 4th ssd drive.

    Good enclosure; poor quality.

    This is a good enclosure. However, it uses a little plastic nib instead of a screw to hold the SSD in place, which BROKE immediately when I tried to lock it in place.

    Drive enclosure sucks, Best Buy is great :-)

    I love Best Buy, and have gotten some awesome deals there, but this drive enclosure was a stinker! My specific complaint is that the mounting hole did not align properly with the drive, and therefore, mounting the drive in the enclosure was impossible. Again, Best Buy did great, and refunded me the purchase price no problem. So... this piece of equipment gets a 1 star, but Best Buy is still great!

    The product functions, barely. Poorly designed, poorly engineered, cheaply constructed, especially the clip which locks the drive blade down. It broke immediately. Adding insult to injury, the FedEx delivery was inexplicably delayed.

    Do not buy this item. VERY poorly designed as the set screw for the NVME SSD is plastic and very difficult to secure the SSD. There are other manufacturer's that make a similar product - anything OTHER than this one would be better.

    Used it a couple of times to migrate some data between computers. Unfortunately, the clip on the inside that holds the NVME in place broke after the second use.

    I am a big fan of insignia but this product was sadly unable to complete its task; when attempting to connect the reader to a pretty much brand new computer, the readet would disconnect itself after ~10 seconds.

    This device was not able to connect and recognize my crucial SSD that I wanted to clone. I managed to do it with some cheap 7 dollars converter from Amazon. Maybe I did something wrong, but I would not recommend this product

    Did not meet advertised speeds. I brought this enclosure a couple of months ago and bought Samsung 980 Pro to go into it. It only ran at 168 MB/s and couldn’t get any faster than that. The SSD works perfectly when installed in a motherboard M.2 slot. It was very easy to install the SSD and the build quality was good.

    With my gen3 nvme ssd inside, I’m getting at most 330MB/s. A far cry from the 3800MB/s that it’s capable of. Had to buy a different make and model from another seller. I would just avoid. It’s just too good to expect Best Buy to have a quality product on something like this.

    I wish this product had enough thermal support to keep SSD cool as atleast one or 2 warnings of SSD getting hot. Also on some occasions when i plug this to new computer system would not recognize the new harddrive at all so not sure what is the issue but not worth the money.

    difficult to put the drive in

    The tiny fastener is easy to break or lose and nearly impossible to get back in once you've inserted the drive. I ended up throwing it away and buying one elsewhere that was easier to use and built better for the same price.
