Good idea, bad execution

Having a screw, etc. to secure the memory in would've been better. I've been working on getting this latch back in for a while now and the small size of everything makes it rather frustrating.

Don't cheap out

Needed it to clone my data on to a new SSD and use it after to have my old SSD as an external but like I said it just wouldn't read the new one after the plastic fastener snapped. I couldn't do anything at all with it.

Additional Installation Instructions

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Remove the retainer plug, install the drive, and before you push the drive into place mate the plug's small slot with the drive and then insert into the hole and rotate plug to lock. Several are having trouble mating the plug with board. I hope this helps.

Case doesn´t work at all

Only when i try to use the ssd with the enclosure the error appears, despite the blue led turning on.

Bad unit

Took to local Geek Squad. He had same results trying on several computers in store with different SSD cards inserted. Got full refund. Will not get another Insignia interface. Cheap junk.

Not a re-buy for me

The movement is cast in the foundation and it is not visible until after you break it trying to get to release

I had to return it but store would only give store credit. In a different housing the SSD worked just fine.
