Plastic enclosure lock broke instantly

It's just a little lever lock that holds the m.2 in place securely. Thankfully the enclosure was still functional for what I needed it for but that plastic is cheap garbage. If you're in a bind it will work but I would not buy another nor recommend it.

DOA as far as I could tell

Never got any indication that anything was plugged into usb. Tried 2 C ports on the laptop and the A port. The external enclosure got a little warm but otherwise showed no signs of life. My laptop is an ASUS ROG 16, a couple years old.

Failed after a few months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The plastic part to hold the ssd down was awful it wouldnt fit any ssd but didnt matter much because it broke after 3 uses. It got really warm whenever in use but other than that it worked just fine for a few months. After that it failed and refused to be recognized by any device. I would absolutely not reccomend

Unfortunately, who you decide to do business with effects your overall rating. Best Buy stated they had the item in stock, and did not. I had to wait to get it at another location, which then pushed back my project completion date. Sucks.

Expensive for how basic this is

don't waste your time or money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased because the CFO at employer had hard drive issues that Windows had to be reinstalled (corrupt windows file). Got the drive out to find it being an M2.0 Drove to Best Buy to get this so I can salvage files to transfer to a new laptop and the unit doesn't even read on any machine, but plugged into the old machine, still boots, thus it's an issue with the product.

As a result, the SSD sticks up at an unsafe angle and will flop around inside the enclosure and potentially disconnect while in use.

The locker hole should be match 2280 SSD, need make sure SSD inserted the slot completely.

Depending on what you need them for they're fine: for like external drive. But if that drive needs to be bootable and other things you'll never succeed as your OS will read the chip on the enclosure NOT the drive itself.

Didn't work a expected

Computer only sees the USB device and not the drive type. So if the cloning software needs the drive type you are out of luck. Wouldn't read drive i removed from my computer unless i reformatted.
