It might have been just me and that fact that I am technology challenged but it did not work for me. Any time I would plug it into my computer and into the TV and the remote stopped working and could not fix it until I changed the settings back to factory settings.

I was told that the old adapter was the reason that I was not getting 4k from my computer to my new HDMI monitor. This model didn't work any better and sometimes the screen would go black and glitch ad 1080. I ended up switching back to the PNY and returned the Insignia brand. Ironically the guy behind me in the return line was also returning a similar Insignia adapter. Perhaps up the QA on your store brand Best Buy?
