It does exactly what a mouse pad is intended to do - give a good surface for either a mechanical or optical mouse to track across. I have a very sensitive optical mouse and it tracks perfectly on this pad.

Mouse pad is used daily and holds up very well to products sitting on it, putting it in and out of a work bag, and is smooth for the ease of mouse movement.

My only complaint is that it can get dirty quick and it not the easiest to clean, but for only a few bucks it’s not a bad deal at all

Really enjoy and I like the product a whole bunch! Makes it much easier to use the mouse pad then using the small square on the middle of the laptop computer. Mouse pad is much better way to go. This one is thin, light, and inconspicuous and is a perfect replacement. The tracking characteristics are excellent and it is soft under my hand.
