I use these pads to place my DSLR cameras on when stored, with the raised portion supporting the rear portion of the lens to avoid stressing the thinner rotating parts of the barrel and camera bayonet mount. I'd like to see the pad a little bigger. They're hard to find with miniaturization of almost everything being the trend.
