I find this to be a pretty decent quality Water Filter. Initially there was this taste to it, but its no longer there. Water looks clean and also doesn't have any smell to it. I don't see any difference in water quality when using the OEM filter. The reason I'm giving this 4 start is I think BestBuy can do better with the price, and somewhat easy to open packaging.

This alternative to the Samsung brand water filter is excellent. I have used 2 of these Insignia filters already. Based on what I have seen and taste, it helps your refrigerator produce good quality tasting water and ice cubes. It lasts about 6 months with regular use. If you live in a 4 or more family household, then one of these filters may last for only 4 months instead of 6 due to the probably heavy use of the ice and water dispenser. The price of this Insignia brand filter is definitely a lot better than the price of the Samsung brand filter. I would have given this a 5 star if I did not sometimes struggle with the installation of the replacement filter. Then again, that could be a design flaw in the refrigerator itself. Overall, you get more bang from you buck with this water filter compared to when you buy the Samsung name brand filter.

This unit is about half the cost of the original OEM part. The previous version of this unit was harder to install and remove, but this one seemed to go in easier into the slot and to turn to the locked position. I expect it should last for about the next 4 months, but fortunately I got this in a 2 pack for basically the same cost of the original filter. So I should have filtered water for a good 8 months with regular use.

Works as expected. Easy to install, no issues swapping this out. Water tastes fine.

This 2-pack of filters works. They fit the model refrigerator they say they do, replacing the model of filter they say they replace. The fit is a little tight (but that’s how new filters are vs the one that’s been installed for half a year anyway). The cost is the biggest advantage, as this 2-pack is $5 more than a single Samsung filter (at the time of writing this) so you’re saving a considerable amount each time you go this route as opposed to 2 individual filters. Only issue (which is true of any filters) is right after installation you have to run a lot of water through the system to eliminate any loose carbon/air stuck in it (which means spluttering & splashing for a bit, but it is just water, so easy cleanup). Once that’s through, they’re perfectly fine.

Good quality product. As far as I can tell, it Works just as well as the Samsung brand. Simple install process with good instructions

This brand is better than the knock-off brand we bought from Amazon. It does what it's supposed to do and doesn't leak.

These filters work as good as the more expensive ones. I'll buy these from now on instead of the expensive ones I use to buy.

The water seems to be good don't notice any taste or coloration difference. So far it seems to be a good budget by!

These filter replacements have worked very well. I gave a 4 star instead of 5 because of the difficulty in obtaining them over the past 18 months. It has been frustrating. It seemed as though the employees didn't know about the product like the previous employees did ( as to whether or not the product is in stock, or available to order, etc)

Perfectly fits sumsung refrigerator. The woter taste good as well.

I replace my filter on a regular basis but this last time I replaced it a couple of months after I received the warning that it was time to change it. I was pleased that the filter lasted longer. The water tasted good and did not smell. This told me that the filter was still working. I was glad that I didn't have to buy the more expensive filter made by Samsung.
