My only issue is that the cord is really too long unless you're positioned in front of the camera and not moving around much otherwise it's great.

It's a decent camcorder mic for around $50.

Has some downfalls

But if you're doing voice over with FCP you cannot hear playback you have to constantly remove it from jack to hear sound and hope you remember to put it back in once you begin/restart the voice over. Also I attached it to my 70D while filming and picked up no sound from the mic. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I'll prob returning this one.
