Works to drive PC speakers w/amp
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We needed a lapel microphone to use with the kind of powered speakers you normally connect off the back of a PC or laptop so we could have an inexpensive portable PA system for presentations. We connect the microphone through an external preamp and the output of this is used to drive a set of Logitec speakers. The system worked fine as long as the microphone was turned on before speakers, otherwise there was a bad hum. Could be a function of the preamp we used so I'm not taking a star off for it. However, I am deducting one star for its failure to work with either a Moto E or LG V400. In both cases the built in microphone worked better. Tried both with the microphone "on" and "off/smartphone" switch settings.

Doesn't work, as as soon as it is plugged into the lightning port using the apple headset to lightening adapter, I can't hear the other person. Probably works fine for one way audio if that's what you need.

Broke my camera!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For some reason this device ended up snapping off the middle connection inside my Mini USB port on my Canon T6 when i used the adaptor. It said it would fit and even best buy employees confirmed it, but it ended up breaking it off. Best Buy refused to fix it and it looks like it was a manufacture error so i will never be supporting insignia again.

Power Switch Broke within 10-minutes

Also, once the battery is inserted you're going to need a needle nose pliers to get it out. There is no other way to grip it, and than it's almost impossible without breaking the battery housing. This microphone is poorly built and made-up very cheap. I will be returning this to Best Buy. In my opinion, it's not worth the money.

Does not work
