    my wife's laptop was getting old, wanted a new one, got this for her BDay. Daughter has to help with Win8.1 because I hate it, but she loves the detachable touch screen, and the keyboard is great...big keys, even I love that. Got Office 365 at the same time, installed easily without problem, even though it required text-based confirmations for ID numbers and such.

    Does the trick but not as well as I was thinking it might do. Will stick using my ear buds/ mic for my business trips. Will keep them for emergency use at home.

    These work well enough. They are not "performance" headphones, if you want to hear every nuance of your music, get better headphones. I use these to do voice over recordings for PowerPoint slide shows that are housed in a library for reference. The mic picks up my desk fan in the background, but not background conversations.
