I have had to buy 3 headphones for my TV. The first 2 were made by Sony and they were uncomfortable because I lay on my side and fall asleep with them on and the first one only lasted a few months. The second one went bad within 2 weeks. I have had the ensigna for over 3 months now. Works very good and very comfortable. I also found out that Sony sold some of their products to other companies and they do not make them as well.

Great sound, easy connection, excellent product!!!

I purchased this product a few months ago. At first this was a fantastic product. The headsets are a bit bulky and heavy, however, it was good for short term use. Unfortunately, after a few months problems started arising. Many times the headset could not pair with the base. This was not a simple process to figure out why. I still can not pinpoint if it is electronic interference from other devices in my room or if it is a product issue. I am never sure if the headset will pair right away or it could take up to 30 minutes to determine why it isn't pairing. This would be a deal breaker in itself, however, I ran into the second problem - the way the headsets charge is by sitting in the base, but the headset must set directly on the prongs. This was not a problem at first, but now after wearing the headset for some months, the device is not sitting properly on the charging prongs. This would have been enough for me to return the product, but I am out of store warranty now. I regret this decision and questioning whether I should have spent more money and purchased the Sony wireless headset instead. Buyer beware..

These are great. There are several ways to connect them to the TV. I went with the headphone jack in the TV. I can go into several different rooms in our house with them on and still hear the TV. It's great! Charging must be positioned correctly in charger, link up is automatic. Plugged in and ready to go right out of box. The fit is great for large or small ears. My wife can sleep and I can watch TV without disturbing her. Sound quality is high definition clarity, perfect.

The choice is limited if you want wireless phones that connect via mini plug or the old fashioned red and white audio cables. I'm not into blue tooth. These were on sale. I was reading the manual and wondering if it would sync. The blue light has to stay on or something like that. Well it was very easy to use and set up. Also uncomfortable, and the sound quality was terrible. I have cheap ear buds that sound better. Also it was a bit touchy to put the phones in the cradle to charge. I returned them today and went back to the far superior set of phones I already had and just plug them into the earphone jack. The clerk said at the return desk, this brand is generic junk, best to avoid. wow, really? As I wandered through the store a gentleman was looking for a sound bar. There was a pile of Insignia sound bars. A young salesperson came over to him and said, you should really avoid Insignia products. Mostly junk that wont last. Well two employees with the same opinion.

Purchased these for my disabled father and they have made etching his tv much more enjoyable for everyone!

I got these phones to practice music & alleviate the cord clutter from various musical instruments. I am disappointed to find that the fidelity is pretty low, almost unsuitable for serious music. If you don't believe this, try an a/b comparison with even a cheap wired headset and you will see that the audio seems flat, sounds like a notch filter that only passes about 220 to 7Khz (severe loss of high and low freq). Specially troubling for learning bass parts from recorded music! This is the second brand I've tried, the other one was equally bad. It could be a bluetooth limitation (if that's what they use, no logo anywhere on the package or unit), perhaps you just need to shell out the 300-500 bucks for the top end (I'll stick with cable clutter, maybe make a support boom from above??)

I'm sitting in the same room with the transmitter not 10 feet away and if I turn my head the wrong way the signal cuts out. Also the charging cradle/transmitter; it is very difficult to find the correct position for the headphones to make the connection to charge.

Bought these headphones so I could hear the TV while my wife was streaming video from her IPad. These headphones were easy to set up, but when plugged left and right leads of the RCA cables to the cable box got a lot of static in the right earpiece. Tried switching to the TV audio and had same result. If only one lead was plugged in, no static was heard, but just got sound from one earpiece. Tried all the suggestions I could regarding moving the receiver unit and disconnecting other devices that may interfere with signal, but none of these worked. Very disappointed.

EXCELLENT headphones , IMO .. in every aspect BUT the lithium ion battery...When the battery dies, so do the headphones, in all likelihood . This may be one year from now , or four years.

I needed to replace my Rocketfish 2.4 Ghz headphones that worked great for over 2 years until the headband broke. I thought these Insignia 2.4 Ghz headphones would work great as I was told by the sales person that they were an ‘improved’ version of the Rocketfish model. Boy were they wrong. More than half the time they break up, sputter and just cut out. I returned the first pair I bought thinking I got a bad pair of headphones and Best Buy replaced them but the second pair does the same thing. The sound cuts out if I lean back in my chair or reach out to get something off the coffee table or even try to scratch my head. The specs say the range is up to 45 feet but I can’t get further than 15 feet from the base before the sound goes dead. Now I can’t return them for a refund because it is more than 14 days since I bought them. I am stuck with them. My advice is do not buy this product you will be disappointed.

We researched looking for wireless headphones that would help my husband hear the tv without having to mute it altogether so that I could hear the tv too but not in a deafening volume. We hooked these up to the tv with the RCA connection and it didn't mute the tv like the earplug would have. And even better yet - there is a second RCA connection on the back, and we have ordered a second set that we can connect to the first set and both of us can listen when we do want to have the tv muted like when the grandchildren are here sleeping. Fantastic!

This is a great wireless headset for watching TV at night in bed while bed while your spouse sleeps.

Good sound but batteries have failed after two years of use. Appear to be non-replaceable. Is Best Buy aware the Federal Trade regulations require that repair parts be inventoried and available for sale to consumers for 7 years after the last unit is manufactured?

Well, the headphones work great for listening to the TV while my husband reads or studies...BUT, they are too big for my head and I can't seem to get them adjusted right. They ended up hurting my ears and I can only wear them for an hour at a time before they are unbearable. I wish I would've tried them on first before I bought them.

The product worked fine just long enough to get past Best Buy's return period. After that it became consistently unreliable. When I take it off the charger, it works for 10 seconds then drops the signal. Re-dock it then take it off, it works for 20 seconds. Re-dock it then take it off, and I get 30 seconds of use. This goes on for at least two more cycles before I get a steady pairing. Very frustrating.

The wireless aspect of this product works well. I get a signal pretty far away from the base. It doesn't take too long to charge. The only problem is sound quality. It could use a higher quality set of earphones, because these are mediocre in their delivery of high fidelity sound.

I've been married to the same wonderful gal for 43 years and we agree on most things, but music isn't one of them. I like Blues, Southern Rock, Jazz, Big Band, Rock'n'Roll, Classic Hits, Old Country Music, Spanish Guitar, Brass Bands and even some Classical. She likes everything else. With the Insignia Wireless Headset, I can listen to anything I want to, whenever I want to without upsetting the matrimonial bliss we have achieved. When Mama's happy, everybody's happy!
