How you rate a speaker in this low end spectrum should definitely be based on how much you paid for it. For $10, this speaker sounds excellent and works as described. No issues when pairing with my iPhone 6S Plus, but I'd imagine any modern bluetooth phone, tablet, or laptop will pair seamlessly if my phone did. The verdict is still out on battery life, but I have my doubts it'll last the full six hours Best Buy claims.

Average speaker for this price. Not so good sound quality and also looses blue tooth connection too often.

I love this speaker so much!!! I bought it on sale and I am very satisfied. The sound is great. It can easily connect to any bluetooth devices. It can last for at least 2 days of using it. It is very portable and light so you can bring this literally anywhere. Very happy with my purchase. Highly recommended!!!

OK bluetooth speaker, had problems with first on it keep beeping, exchanged it see how it this one works.

No way to beat the $5.00 on sale price but can clearly hear the difference against a better speaker.

Works ok but has some skipping especially when someone is talking on a radio station for example.

I was initially hesitant to purchase these Bluetooth speaker but after buying them, especially after the deal on Black Friday, I instantly knew this was the best Stereo Bluetooth speakers I've ever bought. For $10, you really can't go wrong with these! (I picked up 5 over the Holiday). Battery life is a beast, lasts at least 5 hours and has terrific volume. The built in microphone also allows you pick up phone hands-free which is another Fantastic add on. Overall, terrific product that I can't help but spread the word about.

Bearing in mind that after a coupon I received this little guy for $6, I gotta say, I'm super happy with it. Lol. Functions more seamlessly with my iPhone 6s than the $80 HK One that I got for my girlfriend, though the HK one is more svelte and sounds better. Look for it on sale for peanuts and you can't go wrong. I listen to podcasts and NPR with it, if you're more interested in music snobbery, perhaps you may need to look elsewhere, but really, for under $10, it's fantastic, and I'm not really afraid to drop it or get it wet. My advice is pick up one of these first, you may find it's all you need for a tenth of the price.

First, let me say that I got this speaker at $10 over Cyber Monday. My four star rating is based on the sale that it was on. By no means is this a premium Bluetooth speaker. The sound is decent at best, but was surprised by the sound that this produced. I was expecting a small sound, void of any bass or mids. That being said, I didn't buy this thinking it was going to be my go to speaker. I keep it in my bathroom so I can listen to music while getting ready in the morning. The retail price is $40, which I don't think I would pay for. But, if this ever goes down to around the $20 range, you will get your money's worth.

some reason the device keeps making a beep even after its connected. truely annoying

This speaker quit working after 7 months. Best Buy replaced it with a new one.

Originally I assumed that this speaker was just a cheap piece of junk that could play on max volume and wouldn't even wake up a baby. I was wrong. I didn't even turn the speaker up to full volume and it was louder than my laptop speakers ( My laptop has Beats audio speakers built into it. This is the same company that makes Monster audio). Even at its max, it doesn't even seem to want to break down and explode. I would definitely reccomend this to my friends and definitely not reccomend this to my enemies. I purchased this at $9.99 on black Friday, but nonetheless I would still buy this at full price.

Bought this as a Black Friday special. For the price I paid, I didn't have very high expectations. It has exceeded those expectations. It's a good speaker, easy to use, and quick to setup. Compared to a Bose, it's not nearly as loud nor does it provide the same sound quality, but the price you pay for that is astronomical. The sound volume isn't as loud as I thought it would be at maximum. If you're looking for a simple, portable speaker that is inexpensive and provides the sound for what you pay, this is your speaker. If you're looking for higher quality sound, then go with a higher priced item.

I am not reviewing this speaker and comparing it to a two hundred dollar Bose speaker because that is not what this is about. I review products depending on how much I believe they are worth in comparison with the competition. When it comes to bang for your buck, this is the one to get. It outperforms others speakers that are twice the price. The sound level is very good depending on the source and it has a 3.5mm aux in for when you want to plug something directly. Can take calls, adjust volumen...what else do you need. Overall, great value. Very happy with my purchase. Thanks BB!

it does not go that loud and clear and battery life does not last long

I got this because it was $10, and if it wasn't a great product, no real loss. I've had it since the end of summer and I have to say it is a better speaker than I expected.. Although it is very light weight and not premium feeling, the sound from this is quite good. There's nice rubberize coating on the body so you get a nice sure grip. There are 3 speakers behind the grill that put out nice crisp sound and a decent amount of bass. There is no LED lighting on the speaker as instructions indicate, so you have to rely on the sounds it makes when pairing or using the speaker with the 3.5 Aux jack in the back (You need to press and hold the source button a couple of times and listen for some beeps). Bluetooth connectivity works great and battery life is very good. You can toss it in your bag and take it to the beach or connect it to your laptop for better sound. It actually sounded better than a Jaw Bone mini that I bought and returned. Highly recommend this one....

the price and build are good but the sound of the unit is not good.

I bought this product on black Friday randomly while walking the isles. I must say I didn't expect this speaker to sound as good as it does even at high volumes. Unlike other Bluetooth speaker's the bass doesn't disappear at max volume which is a plus for me as i love loud music often. I've noticed this product sounds better depending on where you place it. For a larger sound putting it in a corner or a wooden shelf does the trick. Although this is an insignia product it packs on heck of a punch compared to the other expensive speakers and its not bad looking.
