I brought it back and got a new one and within a month it stopped working properly. It seems that after using the devise for about a month, when you hit the "back" button in it also acts as if you have simultaneously hit the "program" button, the result of which is that the same track repeats over and over again. This basically makes the "back" button dysfunctional. Also after owning it for a month sometimes it won't play a disc and a Error message displays. Then 10 minutes later it will play the same disc. Very erratic.

The only hassle is that the CD always starts at the beginning when I turn it off mid-play, so, except when I use the pause feature, I jot my place down on a sticky note that I leave on the player, which I carry in a waist carry bag desgned for this type of device. I hope they continue to make these, as my husband and I listen a lot and need occasional replacements.

They are cheap for a reason. They have a limited lifespan and seem to punk out pretty quickly in one way or another. I would pay more for a better product that lasted longer.
