I enjoy listening to audio books on my player. Every unit I've had in the past (not Insignia) allowed me to stop and when I restarted I was back at the point where I had stopped. The Insignia unit I received takes me back to the beginning of the CD so I have to fast forward to where I ended (assuming I recall where I was).Very annoying (especially if I haven't listened to this CD for a couple of days) I purchased this because the price was so attractive and did not expect such a problem. I stopped in another Best Buy store today and was told they had never heard of this problem with the Insignia unit in the past . i'm hoping it is just this unit and will attempted to exchange it for one without this problem. Otherwise I will return to a SONY unit

Bought it for traveling. Performance in rough situations is excellent. Quality of sound very good, and the earphone/headphone output is of a good level. Headphones included were of very good quality.

I have owned many CD players over the years & this one which I paid $39.95 for at Best Buy only lasted 4 months before it stopped working!! Since it was one of the more expensive ones I'd ever purchased at the time, I expected it to last a long time, so I was very , Very disappointed when it died at 4 months, esp. since I usually listen to it in bed before I fall asleep at night...so I would NOT recommend it myself

Sound quality is not too bad for the money. I have tried other brands in this price range that were terrible and had to be returned.

It's a great CD player, the only con with this CD player is how small the headphones are.

This cd player is great.....the sound quality is excellent compared to ones I have bought in the past...I listen to it while I'm on the treadmill and the music bursts into my eardrums...I love it!

Rarely last more than 2-3 years, eat batteries. Owned quite a few when cheaper. I would get a rechargeable CD player and save the hassle on batteries.

I love this CD player I use it for audiobooks and music. It is great for on the go if your car doesn't have a CD player and i always use it for homework

To turn it on you push play. To turn it off you push stop. Easy. Straightforward. Does its job, and is sturdy enough to walk around with.

Bought this cd player to replace a Koss cd player that had become tempermental with age. Hard to find a simple cd player in this digital age. Easy to use and provides excellent sound quality through my old school stereo system.

I can honestly tell everyone that this CD Player was the "BEST BUY" I have made in a long time ! (get the pun? l0l) Really. For twenty bucks I feel like I'm listening to a 1000 dollar system I L O V E IT ! With Christmas only 12 weeks away - I know where I'll be Stuffing My Stockings ! Thanks to Best Buy you are always getting the "Best Buy"

My portable CD player I had for 23 years decided to die and I needed a replacement. There was one at a store not far from where I live but it did not have a Bass Boost. I went on the Best Buy website and saw this Insignia which appeared similar to what I had but I noticed it said it didn't have a Bass Boost. What I did was search the product number and found a PDF Manual of this product. It says there IS a Bass Boost. Upon going back to the Best Buy site I brought up the photos of this player. The second picture reveals the open lid sliding button and off to the left is the Bass Boost button. I rode the bus to the nearest Best Buy site and bought this off the shelf and was totally pleased when I started playing it. Can't figure out why any reputable company would make a portable CD player without a bass boost. Anyway, Best Buy should correct the product info on their site because it says "no" for Bass Boost when it does have it on the device. Great price and chalk up another great product made by Insignia that does not disappoint.

Very few options for in-store available portable CD players... this was it! And it does not support MP3s.

I play my CD's for awhile and it seems to hold up good.

Got this for my 9 year old son. It is his third portable cd player. His other two were for children and this is more generic. He loves it and listens to his audio cds lots.
