Not what you want for walking

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although a great device for just listening, it is NOT the device one would want for taking along on a walk. Its sensitivity to ANY movement makes it impossible as a listening device. I purchased it to use while walking. It is a complete failure for this activity - skips constantly. I am most disappointed!

It's used, mostly, for white noise to help a family member fall asleep. We get two or three nights, about an hour each night, then it plays for about 45 seconds and stops until we put in fresh batteries.

Or so I thought. So I bought this Insignia. Skips easily with minor bumps which is annoying because I would use it for CD's that help me sleep. Lucky me I found my original Sony Walk Man and what a difference. It plays rock solid even with major bumps. Too bad there is so little demand for such a player these days.

When I take her outside in her wheelchair I place the head phones over her ears and play old cds watching her express light up and a little singing from her. She’s able to hold and touched the CD player with out skipping Music is great for those with Dementia.
