We set it up next to the TV and it pulled in all four major networks, plus some other channels. Your results may vary; putting it in a window could help.

Bought Insignia brand strictly because Sony does not make this type of product anymore. In fact, NO big name brands/companies make a portable CD player (i.e. Discman) anymore. This product serves its purpose for the most part. Occasionally will not play a CD (display says "No Disc") and discs occasionally skip. Note that my CD's are all in pristine condition, so it's the player's fault. There are so few portable CD players available - I felt like I had no choice but to buy the Insignia brand.
