Good price. Great size and shape. Easy to use. Creates ice brick that is startlingly loud when completed and must be broken up to use. Annoying enough not to recommend.

This ice maker produced solid, clear ice cubes quickly and was easy to use. However, after a little over a year of regular use, I started to notice the coating on the evaporator coils began peeling off, leading to particles appearing in the water reservoir. Despite thorough cleaning and using only reverse osmosis (RO) filtered water since day one, the issue persisted. It is now two years later, and the peeling has gotten worse over time, with particles appearing in the water container the same day after cleaning. Upon contacting Insignia support, I learned that replacement parts like the evaporator aren't available, and the unit cannot be serviced or repaired. It's disappointing that a product at this price point doesn't offer better longevity or support for repairs.

Absolutely love my ice maker. Clear ice that doesn’t melt too fast. I appreciate the customizable ice thickness feature. Easy to clean and great for parties.

Overall a great product. The self cleaning works great and it makes lots of ice. Love that you can change the density of the ice cubes.

Easy to use, makes ice quickly and quietly and i love it shuts off automatically.

I have had no issues with the machine so far. It makes ice pretty quickly. The only downside for me is that it doesn't make nugget ice like described when i bought, it only make small or medium sized cubed ice.

The ice maker works ok. We have 2 minor issues with it. 1. The machine is louder than our previous one in its operation and when the ice is done and drops. 2. While it is working the bricks of ice cubes stick together. When you go to pull it out or dump the tray. It is one solid block. This also makes it harder if you store it. The block becomes even hard to use. Our previous ice maker was quicker, quieter, and the cubes did not clump together as much.

The product is very good for making ice, it makes it super fast, I'm not sure if it has a filter for the water, which is somewhat complicated when it comes to cleaning, getting the water out of there is a lot of work, which creates a small as lama or slime, for the same water

Works exactly as intended. Fan is a little noisy while running but I dont have a different unit to compare and its not loud enough to be a concern. Ice is great, scoop is pointless as a scoop but works great to break up the ice if you prefer to leave it thicker.

I think its put together nicely only issue is when ice is completed and drops it comes off in a slab. So you have to break it to get the cubes and you have to set it to the right thickness so you can break it with ice scooper. I set mine at -3 on thickness which is fine for me

Great addition to lake kitchen. At first I had concerns about ice being block if connected rather than individual cubes, but they easily break apart. I transfer ice to a Coleman drink dispenser to use to hold the ice during the day. Hold holds and keeps ice well frozen, but what does melt makes great ice water. I have no complaints.

I love this machine! With the self clean setting and being able to change the density of your ice, it makes for easy maintenance and use. Also pretty condensed in size for the amount of ice it stores!

I wasn’t sure it was going to be useful but I’m glad I did purchase it. It works very well. Plenty of ice made in the right amount of timing.

The ice maker in our fridge can never keep up. The Insignia is the perfect addition to all the ice cubes that we use. It makes them quickly and now we never run out!

Like a lot of folks, I wanted to try out a table top ice maker.... since I had been living in an RV for several months and missed ice in my drinks! The Insignia Ice Maker seemed like a good choice. Following the instructions, I washed it out and made a few rounds of ice in the machine. I will note here that this machine MAKES ice cubes, but will not keep them frozen! So, periodically, you need to take out the ice basket and store the cubes in a freezer. Okay. This machine is very simple to use. Add water to the reservoir in the back and turn it on! Yep, that easy. This works by drizzling water down the metal ice tray, which is really cold. Ice accumulates in the squares and then dumps when full. The water that does not freeze is sent back to the reservoir where it will again send the water drizzling down the ice cube freezer. Just note that this has the same mesmerizing effect as watching a clothes washer or blender... What I really liked was how fast it made ice. In 30 minutes my ice basket was full! Which means that I could easily set this up and have enough ice for an evening in an hour or less. The cubes were small, which enables them to cool things off quickly (more ice surface area) that larger cubes from a refrigerator. But that also means they can melt more quickly, especially here in Texas! So, I like it better than the ones that make "drive through burger restaurant" ice because that melts too quickly in my area! Will make 44 pounds of ice in a day, so that's like several bags from the store. For a party, that is great! My ice was not crystal clear, but that is due to the extreme hardness of our water. When I made the cubes with bottled water, they were clear. Overall, I like the size of the machine (see pic next to paper towel roll for reference), the size of the cubes (see pic of cube in my hand), the speed of ice making and the price point. The only thing I did not like was the drain plug. I would prefer an on/off valve, but the nylon plug works okay.
