We have an ice make on our refrigerator but he kept it empty and no one could have any ice. He has this little gem in our home bar and turns it on as soon as he arrives home. Now the refrigerator ice maker is always full. We all prefer ice from the new ice maker. It is easy to work and I love making the ice different sizes.

Sometimes the ice stays a little wet and melts super fast. Can’t really tell a difference between the large and small ice cubes. Overall good product. Beats using ice trays!

The fridge is so small, so ice trays take up much needed room, and take overnight to freeze. The Insignia portable ice maker makes ice quickly so no need to wait. And it recycles the ice when it melts, to make more ice. We've been wanting one, so when it went on sale, we didn't hesitate. We also took it to a cookout because we knew they'd run out of ice - it was much used that day!

We had family in from Texas so the machine got a lot of use. It held its own with consistent ice making, I was thanked numerous times for providing the guests with ice all day long

Portable enough to bring to other locations; camping, cabin, etc. No issues so far, wondering how long it will last but please so far. Takes about five minutes per batch, which amounts to enough ice for a good sized drink.

It keeps up really well for everyday use. We would still have to get big bags for a party if we dont bag ice for days. But the one downside is the ice melts in the tray and then when you put it in the freezer it sticks together.

It doesn't keep it cold which is fine for what we needed but sometimes you may be getting some half melted ice. It does however make a good type of ice if you care about that. The storage area is insulated it seems, but not super well so its never absolutely frozen. I like it, I think its great when you need extra ice and would overall recommend it.
