I bought one of these for my dorm last year and was stolen on moveout day. I just purchased one for my apartment and love it. So much better than an ice tray or buying ice.

It makes ice fast I’ll give it that. It is louder than I wish it was. And the ice sticks together. I get it out and transfer it to the freezer as soon as it’s done and no matter what the ice is wet and dripping water every time. I have it sitting on a counter that’s away from sunlight with only a stand mixer and a blender beside it so this is frustrating. The only way for the ice to be usable is if you put it in a cup and use it immediately. Otherwise it becomes one HUGE clump of ice.

The ice is very thin and melts fast. Then again if you are in need of quick ice, you cant expect it to be that long lasting. Even with the "larger" option selected, the ice melted with a room temperature soda. It all depends what you need ice for, this may work for some but didnt work for us. From opening the box to ice only took a few mins at most. So if you are in need of quick ice, this might be for you.

This did exactly what it says it will. It worked well but in the end I returned it because it didn’t have the output I needed. Best Buy handled the return easily & quickly.

Love, love, love this ice maker. So easy to use. This is going to be perfect for when we go camping. I have already made ice bags for upcoming trip for cooler. If you don't have one yet what are you waiting for?!!!

We purchased the ice maker because our refrigerator ice maker is broken waiting for parts. It works great, keeps up with ice demand.

This little unit creates ice in approx. 5 minutes from adding water and being turned on. I'm very happy with this purchase.

My fridge ice maker has gone out multiple times and wasn't ready to buy a new fridge. Saw the Insignia Portable Ice Maker on sale and decided to give it a try. I love it. Makes ice very quickly. Very happy with it.

I wish the ice cubes were of a consistent size. I use it almost every day. Basket fills quickly. My 4 yr old granddaughter fills it up with water whenever she comes over. She loves watching the ice drop.

Started out kinda slow in the beginning, but got mich better as i used ot .

Great machine makes ice quickly and when you need it only down side is kinda hard to clean but i love it.
