It makes ice really fast, and it keeps the ice cold while it is in the basket. It makes a good quantity of ice, and it would be an absolute dream. The issue I have is the chemical taste that is present in the ice. We actually ran at least 5 cycles before we put it into regular circulation. We have tried multiple brands of bottled and filtered water, and the ice continues to have this awful chemical taste. It's a shame really, as it really makes ice efficiently.

I haven't had a problem and have used it every day since I bought it. The one down side is that it is very noisy, especially at night. To fix this I just added a smart plug to be used with Alexa so it automatically shuts off at bedtime and turns on again in the morning. For some reason even shutting it off, it still made noise. I had to pull the plug out for the noise to stop.
