Malfunctions after a year of use

After a year, your ice maker will start malfunctioning or just stop working. If you buy this product, you better be a Best Buy Total Member with the 2 year protection plan. On my 2nd Insignia Ice Maker and after a year of use, it stopped working again. So I will be returning my ice maker for the 2nd time and getting it replaced under the protection plan again. If you don't have a protection plan, I would not recommend this product. If you have a protection plan, I say go for it. You will definitely get your money's worth out of the protection plan that you pay for.

9 Good Months Of Use :,)

It doesn't keep the ice especially cold inside, but if you want to make iced tea and you give yourself a few hours head start it will definitely get the job done.

Even with them at $80-$90 now, still a great ice maker. Might eventually invest in one that chills the area the ice sits in when it's done being made. This model isn't chilled anywhere but where the ice cubes are made. Make sure you clean it often.

It will not store ice, but that isn't a problem for me. If I needed ice for a party, I would start early and move batches of ice to a freezer.
