I’ve had serial ice makers and they’ve all started dying after a year. This is the first one I’ve purchased that has been 100.% carefree. Just do the cleaning every couple weeks.

Bought this ice maker for my wife. She loves and uses it every day. Easy to use and works great.

Ice machine lasted one week and then absolutely died. I did purchase the warranty and Best Buy was very good and easy so they sent me a new machine ASAP and then I sent the broken one back. So far so good with this new one! Makes great ice, very quiet---I hope it continues to work!!!

Bought this on DOTD. Excellent price and value. It's been a great replacement for my broken refrigerator ice maker. The only downside is needing counter space.

I had an Igloo ice maker that finally died after five years. I was a little reluctant to consider Insignia but the reviews and cost made me decide to give it a try. This IS my ice maker and it runs the whole time I am home. The Insignia is marvelous. It makes ice quickly, is quiet, and the flip up door to the ice bin is wide enough to get into easily. It more then keeps me in ice and I love it.

I have had this countertop ice maker for a month and it has out done itself. I am really glad I purchased this ice maker for the price it is worth it. I looked at more expensive countertop ice makes and the only difference is that this does not have the water on the side other than that they all do the same. So, I went with the less expensive ice maker and I have no regrets.

Love this! It is the perfect counter top sized ice maker. The cubes are good sized for most drinks. Bought this to supplement my fridge ice maker. It is quick and quiet. The color goes well with the rest of the appliances.

This machine is awesome. You simply pour water in the main compartment, turn it on,and if you have selected large ice cubes about 6 mins latter you have a batch of ice. They are about the size of a large gum drop. So to fill a normal glass up to the top it would take about three batches. But I promise this thing is cool and really helps when you have company because it just keeps making ice.

I purchased the Insignia 26lb Icemaker for home and it has run well. We typically run it for a couple of days and bag the extra ice to store in a freezer. After a year, I purchased a second one for a small office and we leave it on all the time. It typically holds ice over night making new only a couple times until we start using ice again the next day. The one at work stopped running after about 10-11 months of use and I will proceed through the warranty process. That aside, here are my only issues: 1) Not using it all the time allows the internal area to get warmer and mold will start to grow everywhere. 2) Leaving it on all the time feels wasteful since it is making ice (although reduced) over night and weekends. 3) I would have put the device on a timer but when power is applied, it doesn't start making ice until the start button is depressed. 4) If it runs out of water, it won't restart until I have turned it off and back on again instead of detecting the water level increase. Those are my only issues and relatively minor.

It works like a charm and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an icemaker. It is the perfect size for my small kitchen and it makes the perfect amount of ice at any given time.

This was purchased when our refrigerator was running out of ice to fast. Wanted something that would constantly produce this is it. Such a great price and never run out of ice in a day. I do suggest that water be cleaned out every Morning so it doesn’t have a off taste. When melts can sit over night which is why. Otherwise love.

Works fantastically! We got this to make extra ice for guests and when we make snowcones. It will pop out a few icecubes within 10 minutes. Will make tons of ice if you let it keep running. Just need to empty the bin. Ice will melt back into the reservoir to make more ice. Easy plug on bottom allows you to empty the water for storage. Great little machine. Well worth it.

Love this icemaker. Its easy to us and not to big. Its nice for extra ice when having get togethers with family. I love the shape of the ice.

Great little machine so far. We have made quite a few batches of ice with these since buying it and it has worked great. Easy to use. Doesn't make a ton of ice at one time but, given it only takes a few minutes to make a tray the ice adds up in no time. Definitely would buy again. Looking forward to using it when it gets warm this summer.

I love this machine it does make ice quickly however it wont keep it cool for you. I usually add it to a bag ans transfer to fridge.

Purchased when the ice maker on or refrigerator was broken and a part had to ordered. It makes ice fast and doesn’t take much space on your counter. Great to have as backup.

Love it! this is the perfect size for our family of 3. its fast, gives you the option for small or larger sizes (lg is the size of a nickel 3/4 in). Looks good sitting on the counter or sized about right for storage on an upper counter in a pantry.
