Whenever sweltering summer weather leaves me parched and in need of a refreshing drink, I couldn't ask for a better ice maker. This bundle of joy has brought so much pleasure into my life that I can hardly imagine what it was like before I bought it. Highly recommended! The machine's ability to produce loads of ice quickly and efficiently makes it perfect for any gathering, whether you are hosting an event with lots of guests or just want enough ice for the entire family at home. You can easily customise the size of cubes to suit your preferences so that they're just right.

She was using bagged ice from the local grocery store up until we started dating. The ice would be freezer burnt and it was just a pain going to the store for ice when needed. We've been using filtered water from the store to fill it, and the ice cubes come out crystal clear and quickly. Always have ice on hand, and highly recommend. Just waiting for this to go on sale again, so I can also get one for my own house.

The ice basket fills up quickly and it doesn’t always stop like it’s supposed so watch for it plugging up with ice. But it’s easy to clear and other than that it works well

The first one had a VERY strong plastic taste to the ice...I cleaned it...I cleaned it and I cleaned it. I called tech support and they had me clean it a few other ways. Even over a month of using it every day multiple times a day, the ice tasted TERRIBLE. We were able to return it and get a new one since Insignia is basically a BestBuy brand. After 1 day, the plastic taste was gone. We've taken this on trips with us, we use it DAILY beacuse the ice maker in our refrigerator is SO slow, it takes 3 days for it to fill the small bin. This has been a GREAT purchase. Just so you know, some halogen bulbs will interfere with the ice detector and so the ice maker will never shut off. We've had this occur in one location and once we found the cause, turning off the offending bulbs was the best work around for us.

I was skeptical at first but this ice maker really does produce a fair amount of ice in a short period of time. I use distilled water and it comes out great every time.

I like the small pieces of ice that it makes, it makes different sizes. It's a nice size and doesnt take up too much counter space.

The first one started making a loud noise and stopped making ice. Best Buy replaced it without any problem. Love the ice and how quickly it makes it. Definitely a value as long as it works…I feel like my experience isn’t the norm (meaning it usually works).
