This portable ice maker is perfect in my kitchen. Since the ice maker in my refrigerator died, this has solved my dilemma of having ice on demand for consumption. It does not require a large amount of counter space and blends in well with the other appliances I own.

Its good but like a few reviews Ive read I agree... Ya gotta be present and get the ice into the freezer. Its not something you can keep on the counter that will make ice and keep it cold until you need it. That being said, I like to go camping. Also keep a cooler on the back porch for drinks. It'll get a lot of use..

Up until almost to the day the factory warranty expired, it worked perfectly and was extremely happy. Then it started acting up (ice tray would move back and forth, not fill with water, stop working for no reason, etc.). Fortunately, i got the geek squad protection and scheduled an appointment for tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. Finger's crossed!

This has been a lifesaver this summer. I had a surgery that left me with DI, causing uncontrollable thirst and a craving for ice cold drinks. This little machine keeps up with the gallons of water I drink each day! Sure, it’s not silent, and the ice does melt since it’s not sealed or well insulated, but it did the trick for me! My kids are drinking more water as a result too—they love getting ice!
