I purchased this countertop ice maker as a replacement for my freezer ice maker. It makes a lot of ice! Very easy to use! We absolutely love it! Highly recommend!

I bought this as a gift for my wife because she loves ice. Ice cubes come out really good and rhe machine itself is quiet enough.

Love that this is a quiet ice maker and the fact that it makes ice quickly! This is very important because I placed in my studio at the beach!

Overall this is a great machine! We've had a similar one (different brand) for several years and it's been a lifesaver as our refrigerator icemaker is very slow and has a small bin, so we were always running out of ice. I've managed to keep the old one alive by repairing it numerous times but the motor finally started to seize up and $50 to replace it I decided it was time for a whole new unit and chose this one. While Insignia is a 'house' brand, I've found their products to be of high quality and in many cases better than other name-brand products I've bought. So far this one has not disappointed. The good: the icemaker has a smaller footprint than our old one while maintaining the same capacity. It is also quieter and makes ice faster. The unit feels solid and appears to the made quite well. The only major difference is that the lid that covers the ice bin is not as substantial as our old one; this one is a single-layer of clear plastic and the old one was double-wall with a smaller, clear single-layer window. Thus far this doesn't appear to impact performance in any way. We've had the machine for about a week and it has been cranking out ice ever since and works very well. How long it will last and with how much maintenance remains to be seen. These units do require a lot of upkeep and need to be cleaned regularly (and they are not easy to clean either, but the effort is worth it to always have ice on hand.) This one looks like it will be even harder to clean than our old one due to the more compact design. While they took a lot of care in making the unit compact, it makes getting to the interior surfaces for cleaning a bit harder. The one not-so-good thing; the fill line. This may not be apparent to most, but this is actually a thing and it will make sense with an understanding of how these machines work. On our old machine, there was a tolerance between the fill line and the bottom of the ice basket. This is important because when the unit is running and making ice, it fills a troth (or bucket) in the upper part of the machine with water. When the cycle completes, it dumps that water out and it flows back into the reservoir. This bucket holds a good bit of water, so if you add water to the fill line while the machine is running there was enough room to hold that extra water without overflowing into the ice basket, On this new machine, there is NO tolerance at all, so if you notice the water is low and add more while it's running it will overflow into the ice basket when each cycle completes and the water is dumped. This has been the one most annoying thing about this machine and it will take me some time to figure out where the 'real' fill line should be. Otherwise, I have to turn the machine off completely, fill it to the line, then turn back on; that is the only way to ensure it doesn't overflow. I wish they had thought of this in the design as that would have made it a full 5-stars for me. Overall, I still like this icemaker and feel that it is superior to many of the other brands selling similar units for more money. I would definitely recommend this one as well.

This ice machine is awesome! I always have ice. I bought this because I do not have a built in ice maker in my fridge and I love ice. I went to my friends house and they had one and I was like wait this thing just makes ice for you!? Another friend they told me they use it and they have the ice machine fridge. They said they didn’t like how the ice tasted so they got this and love it. I bought it with no expectations and it has been the best kitchen gadget ever. And I don’t really do a lot of kitchen gadgets. It’s quiet. It gives you the nice soothing sound of the ice being made. And ice is made fast.

Such a a great purchase!! My fridge is old and doesn’t have a lot of space for ice. So we use this on top of counter and it’s easy for me to use and the kids. Makes ice quickly.

This icemaker works exactly as advertised. I haven't made exact measurements on how much it will produce in 24 hours, but it does start producing ice in 7 minutes. I have always used the large cube setting, which is still small enough to fit into the opening of a metal water bottle. This machine has been enormously helpful since our main refrigerator's compressor stopped working, and a replacement has been on back-order for months.

I really enjoy having this for having good times on Friday nights closento my patio chair. Don't need to go too far to get some ice for my drinks. It makes some ice every 7 to 8 minutes. I just add two bottles of water and enjoy ice on my drinks without problems. Now I will say that the only downside is that need to let the machine to make at least two set of ice because those are the ones that will keep the others longer, the first ones will melt a little too fast but after you are good to go.

Works great. Saves me a lot of freezer space. I use it once a week. Save the ice in a bag in my freezer. Make as much or as little as a need. Was great for the holidays. Quiet and compact
