Put My Worries on Ice

Bought this to provide ice for a family member temporarily recovering from a medical procedure and this worked out for us both. I was worried about keeping her in ice and this unit does that perfectly. Also good for a chilled drink now and then.

My only complaint is that when it is completely level it does not push the ice cubes all the way into the bin always leaving a couple to block the IR sensor which stops it from making ice until the IR sensor is no longer blocked. My bin could get A LOT more full if it pushed the ice all the way into the bin. Otherwise it's a great little machine.

I have to say that so far I'm impressed. We have used only purified distilled water and the ice is amazing, clear and no freezer taste. We no longer use the ice maker that the fridge has. Now we toss our insignia ice in the ice bin and enjoy the pure clean ice that it produces.

It was priced well and is extremely convenient. We have an ice machine in the employee break room, but you never know for sure if it is going to have ice when you need it. I no longer have to worry with this ice maker.

She told me she had gotten it for christmas for her at Best buy so if uou could would you please send her one kust for refering me i speak loud if tjings are good and i know a few people i can buy birthday gifts for in my family really soon.

I wanted this to store up ice cubes to use for making hand crank ice cream. It turned out to work fine. Pay attention to the fill container as it does not keep the cubes frozen. I fill up a zip lock bag with the cubes and store in the freezer. It’s kind of fun and reasonably quick. I’ve been frustrated with managing ice cube trays and this is a treat.

Been buying bags of ice until local ice company jacked up the price. So I bought this unit. It will pay for itself soon! Great ice machine, sometimes hard to keep up with the output. Better than the piece of crap in the door unit in my refrigerator! Highly recommend, if it dies in 2 years I'll buy another one!

I live in Dallas Texas and the water is not exactly stellar and ice cubes from fridge taste funny. This ice maker I fill with bottled water and it makes ice quick and continuously. Great machine!! You it everyday for my alcoholic drinks.

Since then I've purchased bags of ice or made them from molds. When we hosted a gathering, I always had to remember to go buy ice and that was a pain. Lo and behold, this baby. Now, this isnt churning cubes fast but with a little planning, I can make enough for a party or to keep in the freezer for my daily needs. I do wish it made more cubes at once but for the price and for my needs....it works.
