works well. takes a short time to make ice and is quiet running. have had other ice makers but this one is the quietest .

So I love ice, in everything I drink, even my coffee! And this ice maker works even better than the one that came in my fridge (which just refuses to work after two years and three repairs)! I turn this ice maker on once a week for about two hours and it provides enough ice for two people for the entire week! If I’m entertaining I just keep it running throughout and we never have to worry about ice, granted I only ever have about eight to ten people at once but no more buying bags of ice for dinner parties so all good!

We purchased the Insignia 26 lb ice-maker after several attempts at repairing the one on the refrigerator. It is great ! It makes all the ice we need and more. My grand children love the little cup shaped ice. If you are an ice eater, it is perfect. Not too hard on the teeth. My only question is can the filter be changed or how do I know it is clean after so many makings of ice. Other than that I have no complaints. Would recommend to anyone and would purchase it again.

This ice maker is really good! It’s small and doesn’t make a ton of noise. Easy to work and store ice once made. Definitely recommend!

My mother's ice maker in her refrigerator broke, so rather than an expensive repair, I bought her one of these. It runs quiet and puts out a fair amount of ice for a single person. The red color and design looks like the unit is more expensive than it is. If you have a two or more people in the family, I'd buy a larger capacity unit, but for a single person, it's perfect.

Is it necessary item? No, but it's a must-have. Best. purchase. ever. Since getting this icemaker, I've used all summer and it comes in handy for parties, get togethers, or even if you're home alone. Set it up and let it do its thing. In one day I made about 10 gallon ziploc bags of ice and it lasted a week. Knowing i had the ice in my freezer I used ice for every drink. I recommend this little gem!

We already have one of these and bought a second for our other place. Great to have out when you have a party. We have also purchased one as a gift for a family member. Makes ice quickly, we usually put it in either a large plastic bin with scoop I’m the freezer or dump into freezer bags.

I have gone through several other brands of this type ice machine which all broke in less than a year. This one seems to be working great. One thing I noticed when I first got it I used distilled water since I figured less deposits. Produced very little completely clear ice. I was ready to pack it up to return it. I reread the instructions and it said only use “drinking” water. A somewhat vague term. I drained and swapped to filtered tap water. It started making good quantities of milky white ice. So far (1 Month) it’s working with no issues.
