It puts out a load of ice approximately every 12 minutes. I ended up ordering the 33 pound ice maker because this one didn't make or hold enough ice for me.

The ice in the basket starts melting as soon as it's dumped so when you empty it into a container in the freezer you will need an ice pick to loosen the cubes. It's only a minor inconvenience.

My wife makes a couple pounds of ice every other week. The machine has worked well. The ice melts faster than my wife would like but the machine works as designed.

Bought this to make extra ice when gathering with friends and family. Makes 9 cubes in about 6-9 minutes. I collect the cubes in a ziplock bag and store in the freezer.
