This unit forms small or large cubes but does not have freezer storage so the cubes must be transferred to freezer or they will melt. Downfall is that you have to be around the unit to run it. If you start and leave, the 1st batch of ice cubes will melt back into the water storage and then new cubes will be formed, these only to melt.

The only negative I have is that it is a little bit load so maybe put it somewhere far from the living room and make sure you give it a couple of inches of spacing from the fan side like the manual says.
