We live in an apartment where subwoofers are generally not well tolerated and needed something to listen to podcasts and music in our kitchen. We're not quite ready to buy a smart home assistant like Google Home or Amazon Echo, so we just wanted an affordable speaker that could function as a step up to these in the future. For the price we bought this Insignia on sale, at $10, it was an absolute steal. I see then that it's since come up in cost, which is unfortunate, but we really do love this speaker. It's easy to turn on and pair to (at least initially) and the sound quality is decent. A little muffled but it's warm and not at all tinny. We leave it plugged into a kitchen outlet so we haven't really tested out battery life but at the price we bought it for we can't really ask for more. Only issue is, as with all Bluetooth things, is that it's designed to only really be paired to one device. Having both of us (+ our computers) attempting to jockey for connections to it means that we're never really sure for about a minute who is connected to the speaker when we turn it on. But honestly it's a small price to pay for the cost and quality.

I got it for a great price during a flash sale and it is surprisingly good! Didn't expect it for such a small speaker of this size. But it works wonderfully for a small room and if you are not an audiophile the sound is as good as you can expect from a speaker of this price and size, even exceeds your expectations.

I wanted a good Bluetooth speaker but didn't want to spend too much. This Insignia speaker is perfect for my needs.Look at the options it comes with, bluetooth, phone, and is waterproof. The body is sturdy and the volume levels are good. PLus I was able to connect it with no issues to my Lenovo Ideacentre 300 and get sound via bluetooth.

Bought to replace 4 year old jambox,. Not disappointed, louder than expected even has a nice little bass. Didn't want to spend 60+ on a speaker I use around the house when cleaning or just to take along on trips, this thing is perfect so far, especially for the price. Don't let the brand fool you, they are decent!!!

This speaker is easy to use and sounds great. It has plenty of volume for its size and good sound. It won't have as much bass response as larger speakers, but it is compact and very portable. I bought a few of these at a special price, for gifts, and kept one for myself. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I ordered this product to listen to my Spotify stations while falling asleep. Pairing with my Amazon Dot was as easy as it gets. Sound is clear, bass response is pretty nice. Didn't expect much for the price, but got more than expected. Nice small form factor fits on my nightstand. Portable enough to move from room to room.

Bought this unit as a Christmas present, but I wound up with it. That said, I connected it to my phone an discovered that it had more volume and longer battery life than another bt speaker that I have. Clear tones, long range (I wander around while I listen) - all in all an excellent little speaker.

These bluetooth speakers are great for beginner purchase/small rooms in the house as the quality of sound is good, product is light weight, and easy to pair. I would proceed with caution if you want something that's more water and shock resistance, but for the price this can't be beat!

This Insignia speaker has good sound although it lacks some of the deeper bass richness of more expensive speakers. Controls are easy to use. If you're looking for a good sound and aren't too picky about music reproduction you should be happy with this speaker. Might not satisfy a real music connoisseur.

Great sound quality from such a small speaker. Bluetooth capability makes it versatile to use with other devices. I purchased the blue one and it is also very visually appealing with a streamlined design. Charge holds for a week or more, provided I only use for an hour or two at time daily.

Purchased this at a great price during Black Friday weekend. Was looking for a small portable speaker for my son to use for listening to music on his phone. Sound quality is pretty good, it gives a stereo effect. Bass is a bit muddy, but overall sound is pretty good. It serves the purpose well.

The speaker has out performed our expectations. The sound quality is good, the battery lasts a long time and it even has an answer call feature that is handy. We use this in an older minivan that doesn't have an audio input. This speaker provides ample sound by Bluetooth or using the 3.5 mm jack.

It is small but pretty loud. Clear sound and battery lasts a while. So far I have used it in my home gym during workouts and in the back yard to tune out neighborhood noise. It is amazing and for the cost you really can't go wrong. I think I will get another one to have and take with me on the go.

I purchased this speaker primarily because of 1) desire for a bluetooth speaker; 2) price; 3) past experience with Insignia products. They have given me good performance and value in the past. This speaker doesn't have the range of a more expensive one I have, but overall I'm pleased with the purchase.

We got this for our bathroom to play music from our Echo Dot. This is a great speaker for the price we paid, and it has good sound for what we wanted it for. The battery lasts what seems like forever off of one charge. Not a lot of bass, but that is OK for what we wanted it for.

It might be a little speaker but it has a pretty decent sound for the size. I teach music and it's so little and light that I can easily throw it in my purse and carry it around. Not going to hear the bass but certainly a great little speaker. Wouldn't rate it as a house stereo sound though.

I purchased 3 if these speakers in different colors. I was happy to find a speaker with color choices to match my boys room color scheme. The sound is very clear and they don't take up a lot of space. Great price for the quality. I also purchased one as a gift for my sister around Christmas.

I have had the jambox, and JBL portable speakers, and this really sounds just fine compared to them. The volume is plenty and the sound quality is pretty darn good. This speaker was a fraction of what the big brand names are and sounds great. It also holds its charge well.
