Exactly what I needed

It's tougher to close the cover but it does close all the way. I use it with my Elite controller - It also fits the "Side Dock Charging Station for Xbox One X." Although the batteries that came with that dock don't have the metal connectors in the side of the battery, the dock has the grooves needed to fit the metal connectors on this spare battery. Very nifty
