Approximately a year after purchase this was plugged in to my xbox to. Charge and my wife asks" what's burning?" The cable at the controller port was so hot it began to melt the plastic of the controller. This occurred while in standby mode so we feel very fortunate to have been home at the time. Huge safety concern with this product and it ruined my controllers USB port. Sticking to rechargeable double A's for now

You'll be buying the XBOX genuine product ultimately so might as well skip this one.
