I didn't get either one to work. I finally purchased a different brand of headset trying to get one to work. In the directions for this second brand, the instructions said that the TV had to be set for stereo output and that this setting may be in the advanced setting. I had looked at the audio settings, not the advanced settings. And,sure enough, my TV was set for Doble output. Changing this setting allowed this second brand to work fine. It may have allowed the Insignia headset to work also but nothing was mentioned of this setting.
