Best buy has handled it great by solving the problem every time. It isn't a great product because it doesn't fully charge my computer all the time. I wouldn't recommend it to other people.

I needed a new charger for my Lenovo Ultrabook.....I entered the Store and immediately found a Geek Squad fellow to help me....He immediately took me to the replacement charger section, pulled one off of the display hook and assured me that "This is the one that you need, I am sure"......paid my money, drove about 45 miles back to my hotel, plugged it up and.....It didn't have the correct adapter plug-end for my particular model.....you can imagine how upset I was.....I returned it and there you go.

The power cord did not fit my Samsung laptop and would not charge the battery.

I bought this under the recommendation of the salesperson that it fit all Toshiba laptops. Not the case. There wasn't an adaptor that fit my laptop that is only about four years old. Pretty disappointed.

While this would power my Dell notebook, it would not charge it's battery. The on-line info and manual make no mention of that fact.

Take your machine and make sure you power it up fully and check for compatability errors.

I found the OEM charger for about 1/4 the price of this universal charger.

Terrible adapter. It sparks every time I plug it in.

Took a two week vacation to Arkansas, and forgot to pack my purchased-in-2017 HP Envy M7 (17" display and Intel Core 7 CPU) laptop's power supply. Doh! Popped into a Best Buy at the destination for a replacement that I could keep in my travel case from here on out so I wouldn't have to worry with the original any more. They didn't have the OE power supply, so I purchased the Best Buy store brand (Insignia) generic power adapter. Sticker shock! About 75 clams after tax. But it IS very versatile, having 6 different tips to accommodate just about any laptop out there. Okay, I'll give it a go. Good news--my laptop did not deplete its battery for the whole 2-week hotel stay. Bad news--the charger did not top off the battery even though I fully shut down the computer and allowed it to charge overnight. This charger simply slowed down the rate of discharge to about 2-3% per day. When I returned home 10 days later, my Envy was down to 75% charge. I plugged in my OE power supply and voila, it returned it to 100% in just a couple of hours. Assuming the line current at the hotel was not sketchy, the Insignia charger fails to supply enough power to the HP Envy M7 laptop to charge the battery. It simply "treads water", and eventually would probably have allowed the laptop battery to run down completely. So I either got a lemon, or there's something incompatible with the kind of current the Insignia unit supplies to my computer. Comparing specs for the two, the Insignia claims it delivers 90 watts. The HP supplies only 65, so wattage is not the issue. The difference is apparently the voltage supplied: 19.5 volts for the HP original equipment power pack, and 19.0 volts for the Insignia replacement. Fortunately I was able to return the unit to my local Best Buy for a full refund.

Works just fine with my Toshiba laptop. Charges as good as the oem one.

My 4 year old Dell Inspiron laptop adapter started to become intermittent in powering my laptop. I would notice it would stop working and the LED light would go off when moved. Usually I could get the light to come back on and start charging my laptop by shaking or tapping on the adapter case. It finally quit working permanently so I was forced to buy a new one but I could not wait on an online purchase so I went to BB and of course they had a universal adapter but considering what you get, it seemed a bit overpriced compared to online models. Anyway, it works and I have no complaints except for the retail price. But when you need something immediately, the higher price seems justified.

it is an universal power adapter for most common type laptops even you can call the customer service to ask for a new plugin for new laptop

I bought this as an emergency replacement for a lost OEM charger while on a business trip. I was drawn to the slim size, which also means slim weight and i definitely appreciate especially while travelling. It also has a longer cable than the original charger did, which I also like. HOWEVER, the huge problem I have with this charger is that the tip fits way too loosely on the cord. It is constantly falling off leaving my laptop "plugged in" to nothing, so I often think I am plugged in and charging, only to get a nasty low battery warning. To add insult to injury, the tip connects at a 90 degree angle, so it is impossible to tape or otherwise secure the tip on (without glueing it together which I'm not yet ready to do). The pros of this unit just don't make up for the flaw that it doesn't accomplish it's designed function very well at all. :(

I didn't have to buy a new computer when the extension cord died. This device has been working over a year now so glad I bought it.

I purchased this for a Lenovo ThinkPad T430 but the adapters do not fit this model.

Worked for everything I needed, nice and slim and light.

I am very happy to find the universal power pack for my laptop.I was nicely surprised to find the power pack in stock at my local Best Buy. The young lady that assisted me found what was need quickly. I will be able to use this as a backup power source for my other laptops also.

that works for an asus laptop model#F551 a brand called innergie does have an adapter that fits just a heads up
