Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the TV stand's easy assembly, sturdy build, and ample storage space. Many appreciate its attractive design and the color, while some mention that the size is perfect. However, a few customers noted concerns about the weight and the glass top's susceptibility to scratches and showing smudges. The depth of the shelving was also mentioned as a potential drawback by some.

    Strong Good looking cabinet

The easiest put together cabinet you can buy- only takes one person less than an hour. Looks awesome- very solid and sturdy. The parts didn't line up/screw together 100 % ( they never do ) - but all in all very satisfied . Only recommendation is eliminate the middle shelf and adjust the top one when putting together- will give you plenty of room for stacking DVD's- audio equip etc

Excellent TV stand, very durable and easy to install. Only took about 1 hour to install by myself, and the color of the stand looks great.

Very sturdy. This is a smaller version of a tv stand I already own. It is much more substantial than most others in its price range and super easy to put together, I (F41) did it by myself. Would definitely recommend.

the quality was great and it had very few steps to put it together. it is very heavy and solidly built. TV I got was also an Insignia and the 55" paired with the stand looks great.

    Best TV stand Ever!

Was looking for more of a component stand then for a TV. My flat screen is already wall mounted. Was looking for a stand that looked good but was functional. Almost bought a cheap cabinet from Walmart for $179.00 but couldnt pull the trigger. To cheap looking. I'm so glad I went to Best Buy. A little more then I wanted to spend. Worth every penny and more. Beautifully constructed. Weight is heavy to say the least. I hate setting up anything. Was pleasantly surprised by this one. It lays flat but then sort of pops open. With a couple of screws and knobs here and there. This was the easiest assembly ever and looks beautiful. Solid construction. Highly recommended..

Easiest piece of not assembled furniture to put together ever. Never swore once. Only need a screw driver for the four screws that hold the handle on. Pretty much comes folded up. You unfold add the one end with 4 screws that have knobs on them making them easy to screw on. Slide 3 pieces of glass on and add the other end. A few other minor steps. Very happy with this stand. Beautiful stand and very sturdy. A little heavy but not as heavy as some have stated. Heavy means solid, glass is not light. It also a little darker than the picture shows.

    A decent stand

I needed a stand that could accommodate a soundbar and a 55 inch television. Searched everywhere and this is the best I could find. The color is darker than what the pictures would suggest. The finish is a dark brown. Assembly is minimal. The metal frame folds out, the end panels and glass shelves are slid into place. All is secured with "thumb screws". Overall construction is sturdy and heavy. I would say the only con is the wood and finish. A few flaws but only only noticeable in certain light and angles. Hope this helps.

    Nice looking, poorly manufactured

I was looking for a nice stand on which to put a new TV, and this seemed to fit the bill, especially given the closed storage underneath. As others have mentioned, assembly is fairly straightforward...until you get to putting the handles on the front storage doors, which are kind of important, as otherwise you can't get access to the majority of the shelving space, Here's the problem: the holes drilled into the cabinet doors are too shallow, and/or the supplied screws are not long enough. Either way, what you discover in assembly is that when you put the screw(s) through the hole(s), not enough screw is exposed to fit into the threads of the door handles themselves. Another reviewer has mentioned the need to deepen these holes with your own drill, or alternately find longer screws to use to attach the handles to the cabinet doors. I don't own a drill, nor do I have optimal-sized replacement screws laying around. None of this should have been necessary in the first place! Either way, this is a major problem in the manufacturing quality-assurance process. I am hesitant to run the Best Buy customer service gauntlet just to try and get replacement hardware, but otherwise I'm left needing to use some sort of prying tool to open the doors and utilize the majority of shelf-space in this unit. Unless and until Best Buy can get Insignia's fit and finish quality for its furniture up to snuff (which shouldn't be a huge challenge, as Insignia is Best Buy's house brand), I would not buy this particular unit, and I would look askance at other Insignia furniture items going forward.

A great design for a TV Stand

The TV stand has an incredibly nice design and looks amazing with quality materials used. No complaints at all with ample space used to store consoles, DVD/VCRs with their respective players, and decoration with holes for wires located in the back. My 49" TV has plenty of room to fit on top as well. Only thing worth noting is its insane weight. If you plan on transporting this item, I recommend at least 2 people preferably more considering this items weight is more than I could have ever expected.

Took me about 1 hour to fix this stand. All the parts came perfectly assembled including the hardware. Easy to understand directions. Love that the base came fully assembled and all I had to do is assemble the sides, top and shelves. I wish the shelves were wood instead of glass. I would have given this stand a 5 star if the top had thin piece of wood to sit above or below the glass top. I have an 87lb older tv sitting on it and it works fine. Also, you will need another person to help carry this into your home. It is very very heavy. The 4 glass shelves makes this product heavy. But overall when completed to looks like a $500-$600 stand. It’s worth it.

    No parts

This is a nice looking TV stand if all goes well. It did not for us. The stand comes in a box that requires two strong people to carry- due to four large tempered glass shelves and a metal frame. You need two people to assemble too also due to the glass. Our stand had two bent metal bars-ok I'm handy so I bent them back close enough to work. Then when it was all done we found a damaged door. It works but the wood is cracked with sharp edges. So I call the manufacturer, a subsidiary of Best Buy, to get a new door. Guess what, they have no replacement parts. Your only option is to take the assembled stand back to the store for a new one. Really? Then I can reassemble again after getting a hernia. (Not to mention the glass would probably break in route) No thanks, I'll live with it, but I'm all done with Insignia. What kind of warranty never provides parts for repairs?

Purchased, arrived in perfect shape, no issues there. set up was simple, took only a few minutes, instructions were decent for this kind of thing. But so many reviews mention the av receiver not fitting in the top, and it doesn't which is why in the pictures it isn't in the top. I knew this ahead of time because I went to the store and measured the shelf display. So I put it in the shelf as they did in the photo.
