Then I found a Best Buy in a different town and went there and told them my problem and they had one in stock and this thing worked perfectly.

A bummer that my dog chewed the power cord on my original. Luckily i got the geeksquad warranty. Bought this one and when they couldn't find an exact replacement they re-imbursed me the total price I paid for it. Quality product and great service.

This charger had multiple adapters for a variety of old laptops. Comes in handy when you come across an old computer you need to boot up

It only stops it from using the battery, but it will charge it when the laptop is off. But that is not a big problem for me however i see it being a problem for others.

Does the job for an older HP laptop.

However, I have an older HP laptop and the adapter on that system stopped working. So, I tried this adapter and it worked on my older HP laptop. However, I have two newer HP laptops and I tried it on those system. It did not work on them. This adapter, I would state is probably designed for older HP laptops.
