Every time I tried to find an OEM laptop charger, I gave up the search and decided to get the plug-and-play charger that automated the correct setting. Once, it turned out that I did find one for my daughter's laptop like a month later and it was well over half the cost of a universal charger. If time is on your side, well... Then the OEM distributed charger is meant to be. My case, I really need to get something working in a day or three. Happily so, the Insignia™ - Universal 65W Laptop Charger - Black - is a lot of overkill. BUT, some of the extra could become handy! So, the power is one of the extras and it's there to be had when desirable (65W.) My laptop is not so hungry and doesn't use it. If I need to charge while I use the laptop, The battery would easily charge even then. If I use this charger for some power-hungry system, there is 65 Watts. So worst case, the battery would charge while I wasn't using the system? I think so. I didn't need a gender change because the center was natively of correct polarity for my HP laptop. I can't remember. Since I always test polarity... that would have been reason to notice absence of a reverse polarity adapter. A chart to identify which adapter to match my system and other supplied adapters was on a small slip of paper. I am convinced that I will never need about seven of them. Ever. Another extra is that my final batch of teens (both of which have needed to replace a lost charger for EVERY single technology they own HAVE needed a replacement charger as well as eight or sixteen data/charging cables.) I think this is the same Universal Laptop charger I purchased for my youngest daughter. How did I lose a laptop charger? I loaned my original to one of them and you guessed?--must have evaporated and never made it back.

had to get a replacement for my old computer and its been good.

I have an older Dell, and this product charges it up. Only complaint I have is that the plug doesn't always stay tight on the cord.

Charger for my Chromebook stopped working. Purchased Insigna Universal 65W charger from Best Buy and it gets the job done

It has been the only thing to keep our laptop running after it was power surged in a lightning strike.

Had to buy this to replace a broken charger on a chromebook. It comes with multiple port connectors which is nice as it will fit just about every port. It charges quickly and is durable enough that’s it’s survived a 12 year old so far.

Pretty simple and easy to use, switch out the plugs that match many of our electronics.

Good charger - bad Best Buy Service Charger failed on grandson's laptop w/in the manufacturers warranty - could have gone to the manufacturer for a replacement (days or weeks for shipping) or grab one at Best Buy. Kind of over supporting my local retailer after this. better service from Amazon.
