Laptop Emergency Fixed Quick!

After calls to Geek Squad and HP I went to Best Buy to see if it might be the charger. The associate had a unit to try, plugged it in and my laptop was alive again. I bought a Insignia™ - Universal 65W Laptop Charger -, took it home within two hours my laptop was fully charged and I was estatic. Thank you Best Buy. I'll be back!

It is a bit pricey though.

I saw many negative reviews stating this universal charger did not work with their Dell laptops. I brought my laptop (XPS 13 9360) into the store to test it. The associate at the store opened the box and picked out a connector. The laptop registered that it was plugged in. However the charging light did not come on. When I got home I there were warnings that the charger was not identified so wouldn't charge. The charger did power the laptop while not charging the battery. I found that the wrong tip had been used. I put on the correct tip N14. My laptop recognized it and charged my battery just fine. So some of the issue of not working on Dells may be due to incorrect top. I'm giving only 4 stars due to the price which is double what a genuine Dell charger cost. Otherwise it works fine and would be handy if you have several laptops of different brands/models but only want a single charger while traveling.

I do however find it a little easy to remove from the port. Other than that, it was a life saver for me. It was a bit more pricy than what I anticipated ($65 plus tax). Over all it is a pretty decent product.
