Right upon my return from a road trip, I discovered that I left my Dell laptop charger at my friend's home. The timing couldn't have been worse due to the fact that I had to do some computer work that very night. So, I was able to drive over to Best Buy and purchase this universal charger which presented no problem (even though Dell is a stickler with wanting all accessories to be Dell only).

You can use this power supply for many different brands of laptops and all in 1 PCs. Have already used it on a Dell and HP laptop. Easy change connector makes it extremely easy to use.

I tried all the adapters I have at home to replace the broken one for our Toshiba satellite laptop and nothing fit. Some were very close, but not quite. So I had to break down and buy a new adapter wondering if I could find one that would work on the older laptop. This adapter said it would work in the description so I gave it a try. Best Buy let me bring in my laptop and unbox the adapter to make sure it did in fact work with the laptop. So I was able to try the product before purchasing. Thank you so much for that. Product worked, it has the pieces needed for the Toshiba brand and my wife is happy now.

Works great, just a bit bulky. Can use the cane charger for both of my laptops, if needed.

I paid more for this then I wanted to but it has interchangeable heads so I can use it with my other laptops too if needed. Works a well.

For forty dollars does what it's supposed to do. Charges my hp and acer laptops faster than original chargers. Power brick runs a little hot.

I bought this Adapter for a laptop. I did not remember the type of Adapter needed so I grabbed this universal one. It had everything I needed to connect and is charging perfectly.

I had to purchase this generic power cable for my laptop when we arrived at our destination and I realized I had forgotten to pack the one that came with my laptop. The Best Buy sales person I spoke to said that it would power up my Dell laptop, but wouldn't charge the battery as Dell had made some hardware changes that required their own power cable to charge the battery., I didn't think that would be a problem since I usually leave my laptop plugged in anyway. However, when I actually started using the generic, my CPU jumped to 100% just about all the time and my laptop ran excruciatingly slow. I initially thought that there as a problem with the laptop itself and actually did a reinstall of my Windows 10 on the laptop, all to no avail. I managed to get the work I needed to do done, though it was slow and agonizing. When we returned home, it was my intent to take the laptop to the Best Buy Geek Squad and have them do a thorough check up of the laptop. But when we got home, I plugged in my original power cord and lo-and-behold, things started working perfectly. I did plug in the generic to check and sure enough CPU usage jumped to 100% and things crawled. Plugged back in the Dell power cord and things went back to normal. So if you're running a Dell, beware that you may end up with the same issues I had.

it had what i needed and much more, i had a no longer available toshiba laptop and one of those connections fit beautifully

Bought this power adapter ~4 months ago as a backup to the one that came with my laptop, knowing that I would be getting a new laptop a few months later. With the 6 available tips this adapter comes with, I knew that regardless of what brand my new laptop would be, I'd still be able to use this adapter. That's a major plus. So far, the adapter has performed well. However, it has not yet, to my knowledge, been subjected to a power surge, so not sure how it would hold up through that. This is the only reason I have not given this product 5 stars now.
