Useful into the future

We didn't want to buy another charger for a machine which we would not still have a few years down the road, but he needed a charger. This allows us considerable flexibility in selecting a replacement computer. It works well with the current machine and, with luck, will still be useful when the next one comes along.

Nicer than other aftermarket chargers

I leave the ordinal on my desk with a second monitor. And take this after market ones with me. I have used 3 different brands. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it would have to be nicer than the original charger to get 5.
