It goes in the charging port but it doesn't seem to be very tight. It comes out very easily. I have a Toshiba. Other then this the charger works great. My batteries don't hold a charge anymore and it works as a great power source.

If you got a 'gaming' laptop you grabbed second hand from one of your more gullible friends who buy that stuff new pass on this. You gonna need like 180 watts. It did run my work laptop pretty good though.
